‘Americans are Tired of the Double Standard’ Jim Jordan Slams Merrick Garland For Refusing to Prosecute Rachael Rollins While Trump Had His Mar-a-Lago Home Raided

U.S. House Rep Jim Jordan (R-OH) today slammed Attorney General Merrick Garland for refusing to prosecute a U.S. Attorney, Rachael Rollins, who recently resigned that was appointed by Joe Biden.

Jordan pointed out that former President and 2024 Presidential candidate Donald Trump had his Mar-a-Lago home raided.

“President Trump did nothing wrong and his home was raided,” Jordan said in a tweet.

Jordan explained, “Rachael Rollins, a Biden appointed U.S. Attorney, lied to investigators and may have improperly sought to influence an election, but Merrick Garland refused to prosecute.”

“Americans are tired of the double standard,” Jordan summed up the situation.

Jordan shared an opinion piece by Judicial Watch’s Jonathan Turley that discussed the situation with Rollins and suggested the same defense could be used by Trump.

The article is titled, “A ‘Rollins Defense’ for Trump? Justice Department Again Declines to Prosecute One of Its Own”

Turley noted that the Department of Justice’s special counsel, Jack Smith, is continuing his work toward possible criminal charges against Trump.

Turley believes that the decision not to prosecute Rollins may complicate the final decision in the case with new concerns over a double standard in charging decisions.

Rollins was accused in an OIG report of lying under oath during an investigation into her allegedly trying to influence an election.
