I regularly go to BAs headquarters Waterside. A place full of thousands of managers. The strange thing is they all just seem to drink coffee all day long, you can see the same people sitting around mug in hand and then go outside to the smoking area and see the same smokers there all day long. Surely they can not be doing much while drinking coffees or smoking which leads me to believe BA are a top heavy company full of managers paid to do nothing.

On the other hand I see ramp and baggage workers who are doing more tasks than ever before, working longer hours, one 30 minute break in a 8 and a half hour day, working without proper equipment and manning levels, not allowed to take leave during Christmas and other holiday seasons, they are treated like animals and do as told by management but this is not enough for the BA think tank. What next BA Fat Cats do you expect them to work for free!

I have a minimum of respect for Woollard for turning himself in and the utmost respect for his poor mother, for persuading him to do so.

The length of his sentence... I just don't know. I don't know the ins and outs of the law, so I can't comment on whether the length of the sentence is appropriate or not. I'm ok with the fact that he was jailed though. Eighteen is old enough to recognise an idiotic idea, no matter how emotionally charged you might be.

The sorry thing is though, his punishment is probably going to go far beyond being released from jail. If he manages to go to university, he's probably going to have a harder time finding graduate jobs than most. The first thing that an employer does is to google potential candidates.
