Democratic governors want all the political benefits of the border crisis, but none of the responsibility.
On Sunday, Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker on CBS News’ “Face the Nation” said that, “It’s going to get cold in Chicago and New York very soon and there are lots of other places in the country that they might want to consider going.”
The Illinois governor also called for securing the border in Texas to stop illegal migrants from coming to his state.
“The Democrat convention is in Chicago next year. Are you confident that your city and your state are gonna have a better grasp?”

Pritzker’s chilling warning follows upon months of citizen outrage in the Chicago area about scarce resources being used to house unauthorized migrants.

Pritzker’s Illinois, which contains the “sanctuary city” of Chicago, joins other Blue States that have reversed itself in recent months as millions of unauthorized migrants flood into the United States under President Joe Biden’s border crisis.
New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said last week the border is “too open” and that all the migrants coming to her state pose a “real problem.”
“I want them to have a limit on who can come across the border. It is too open right now,” Hochul said on Face the Nation. “People coming from all over the world are finding their way through, simply saying they need asylum. And the majority of them seem to be ending up in the streets of New York.”

“We are one of the most diverse places on earth because of our welcoming nature, and it’s in our DNA to welcome immigrants,” Hochul added. “But there has to be some limits in place, and Congress has to put more controls at the border.”
Mayor Eric Adams issued a warning in September that New York City agencies will be forced to reduce their budgets by as much as 15% due to the escalating expenses associated with Biden’s migrant crisis.
All city departments have been instructed to make a 5% budget reduction by November. This reduction will translate to a substantial financial adjustment amounting to several billion dollars from the portion of the budget funded by the city, which is part of Adams’ $107 billion expenditure plan.
However, Adams cautioned that if the city does not receive adequate financial support from the Biden administration or Albany in the early months of the upcoming year, there may be an additional 5% reduction required in both January and April.
“Since the large influx of asylum seekers to our city began last spring, we have warned New Yorkers that every city service could be impacted by this crisis if we did not get the support we needed,” Adams said in a statement.
“Coupling the costs of a national crisis that has fallen onto New York City with COVID funding that is running out and reduced revenue growth, our city’s financial future may be at risk if we do not act,” he added.
Adams also warned of layoffs in the aftermath of the budget cuts.
“There’s no scenario of a 5% cut at every agency without layoffs,” said one source. “It will mean dirtier streets and crime could go up.”

I live in a rural area in south central Texas. I don’t have a lot of sympathy for the people of the North Eastern cities. I live on a frame switch area. All, up until Biden, would do is protect our livestock from being taken by the “migrant” camps for food. They waste a lot. Now that Biden is giving them rides to where ever they want to go, it has cut back from three times a night to about twice a night on weekends and holidays. At least I can get some rest. There a millions of more in this area, come and get them!
