NBC Accused of Editing Out ‘Jesus Christ’ from Christian NFL QB’s Interview

NBC is getting blowback for reportedly censoring a reference to Jesus Christ from Houston Texans quarterback CJ Stroud’s postgame interview.

Stroud, a rising star in his rookie NFL season, allegedly mentioned Jesus Christ during his speech, but this portion was apparently cut from the broadcast.

“First and foremost, I just want to give glorious praise to my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I mean, it’s been amazing being in this city for as short as I’ve been.”

However, viewers claimed that the particular mention of ‘Jesus Christ’ was not included in the version aired by NBC.

The incident occurred after a record-breaking playoff performance by CJ Stroud.

Stroud guided the Texans to a stunning victory against the Cleveland Browns on Saturday.

There were several viewers who remarked on the reported edits.

The Texans QB has developed a reputation for profusely thanking Jesus in his post-game interviews. As noted by Trending Politics:

Throughout the season, Stroud has been seen writing messages on his wristband before games, a practice he revealed as a tribute to his faith and personal motivations. Among the symbols and phrases, he includes a cross, the number 777, and his favorite scripture, Proverbs 3:5-6.

“Man, it’s a blessing,” Stroud gushed. “I can’t do nothing but just thank my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, man.”

“I just feel like God wouldn’t put nothing on me that I couldn’t handle. And I feel like who I am as a person, the work I know I put in, that’s plenty,” Stroud added.

NBC Sports may yet offer an explanation for its editorial decisions. This article will be updated if the sports network offers a clarification or a public apology to Christian viewers and to CJ Stroud for editing his powerful testimonials.
